Innovation in Ice Cream: ERWIN Smart Ice Cream Scoop
Our project centers on the ERWIN Smart Ice Cream Scoop, a revolutionary innovation in the ice cream market and a significant milestone in Hungarian technical innovation.
Intelligence in Ice Cream? This device employs an intelligent portion-counting system that automatically records the number of ice cream scoops served, significantly simplifying the operation of ice cream parlors and increasing their efficiency. The device distinguishes between ice cream serving and other movements, such as cleaning or releasing, ensuring 100% accuracy of the data.
The system communicates with a central data processor that collects and transmits information to the owners (even via SMS), enabling real-time tracking of sales data.
Branding and Website Development Our project began when the patent owner approached us with their idea. From that point on, we handled all strategic and creative tasks, from choosing the brand name to developing the product identity and supporting production. We coordinated every aspect to successfully position the brand in the market.
Our goal was to create an attractive, coherent visual identity that reflects the innovative nature of the product and meets customer needs, while fitting well into the ice cream world in terms of color scheme. When designing the website, we focused on user experience and integrated interactive elements that showcase the product’s unique capabilities and benefits.
Mouth-Watering Demonstration at the SIRHA Budapest Exhibition A key element of the SIRHA Budapest exhibition was a creative and interactive booth that integrated the previously developed branding elements. We designed the booth to not only visually attract visitors but also provide them with a personal experience.
Visitors could enjoy ice cream scooped with the ERWIN Smart Ice Cream Scoop in an interactive product demonstration, while an LCD screen above the booth displayed the number of scoops served in real-time.
We enhanced the visual appeal with a giant ice cream scoop and a stylized ceiling covered with “ice cream clouds,” creating a dreamy atmosphere. Additionally, we set up two mini meeting areas within the booth, providing high-quality surfaces for an elegant and professional environment for deeper business discussions.
Results and Impact The successful launch of the website and branding, along with the eye-catching exhibition presence, contributed to increasing the product’s visibility and market reception. This success was highlighted by the ERWIN Smart Ice Cream Scoop being featured in the April issue of Forbes magazine.
